thank you for this post, it reminded me of something you said long ago to me about &quot;random acts of kindness&quot;.  Your post shared the message of unity and community, something sorely lacking from our political leaders today.

My son is proudly serving our country in Afghanistan and until he did this, I limited my &quot;vision&quot; as this war was being taken care of by others. We are all in this situation, a war abroad and at home.  It is time for peace and here is a small suggestion. 

Events reach into our family and home, a call for action is needed!  Today let&#039;s all start a &quot;small&quot; action, do the right thing for the homeless and hungry, a small donation, a bag of home, a supporting word, the &quot;random act of kindness&quot;.  Let&#039;s strive for a balance, give people another chance and an open forum, make America a &quot;win-win&quot;, not &quot;I win so you can lose&quot;.
